Flexural Strengthening of RC Continuous T-Beams Using CFRP
In this paper, experimental investigations for strengthening reinforced concrete (RC) continuous beams were performed. Eighteen T-beams were cast, twelve of which were inverted T-beams where the flange portion of the T-beam was subjected to positive ...

STED microscopy with continuous wave beams [PDF]
We report stimulated emission depletion (STED) fluorescence microscopy with continuous wave (CW) laser beams. Lateral fluorescence confinement from the scanning focal spot delivered a resolution of 29-60 nm in the focal plane, corresponding to a 5-8-fold improvement over the diffraction barrier.

Flexural performance of corroded continuous RC beams rehabilitated by ICCP-SS
Continuous reinforced concrete (RC) beams are popular structural components. However, RC structures in corrosive environments can be degraded due to steel reinforcement corrosion.

Bright, continuous beams of cold free radicals [PDF]
We demonstrate a cryogenic buffer gas-cooled molecular beam source capable of producing bright, continuous beams of cold and slow free radicals via laser ablation over durations of up to 60~seconds. The source design uses a closed liquid helium reservoir

BEHAVIOR OF REINFORCED CONCRETE CONTINUOUS BEAMS STRENGHENED WITH NEAR SURFACE MOUNTED REINFORCEMENT [PDF]
Using Near Surface Mounted (NSM) technique for flexural strengthening of reinforced concrete continuous beams became particularly attractive for researchers and applicators.

Numerical Assessment on Bonded and Unbonded Prestressed Concrete Beams
The tendon stress in bonded prestressed concrete (BPC) beams is section-dependent while it is member-dependent in unbonded prestressed concrete (UPC) beams, leading to marked difference between these two structural systems.

Flexural Stiffness and Crack Width of Partially Prestressed Beams with Unbonded Tendons
The original concept of “Total Prestress” consists of creating compressions in concrete without generating tension stresses for service load, while in "Partially Prestressed” elements, tensions are allowed in the service stage, which would produce some ...

Flexural behavior of RC continuous T-beams reinforced with hybrid CFRP/ steel bars (experimental and numerical study) [PDF]
This study presents experimental and numerical investigations to understand the response and failure of hybrid RC continuous T-beams reinforced in flexure by both Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) bars and steel bars at sagging and hogging regions ...
