A Continuous Tale on Continuous and Separately Continuous Functions
Real Analysis Exchange, 2016The main objective of this survey research paper is to discuss the history and actual state of continuous and separately continuous functions problem from a real analysis perspective. The exposition includes as well some original results; the basic ones are Theorem 1.

On Approximately Continuous and Almost Continuous Functions
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1971The purpose of this note is to discuss the relationship between the concepts of approximate continuity and almost continuity of real functions of a real variable.Contrary to the papers of T. Husain [1], [2], [3], we shall show that there is little relationship between these concepts, that approximate continuity does not imply almost continuity without ...

On the Approximation of Continuous Functions by Linear Combinations of Continuous Functions
The Annals of Mathematics, 19311. In the present paper we propose to solve the following problem: Let there be given a sequence of arbitrary linearly independent3 functions r1 (x), 2 (x), * * So. (x), *. * *, defined and continuous in the interval a:< x < b. What is a necessary and sufficient condition that there exist linear comn binations a an) gi (x) of the i(x) which converge ...

Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo, 2009
S. J. Taylor has introduced the idea of \(\psi\)-density which is stronger than the usual Lebesgue density function by replacing the entity \(2h\) in the denominator in the definition of Lebesgue density by the entity \(2h.\psi(2h)\) where \(\psi :(0, \infty) \rightarrow (0, \infty)\) is a nondecreasing continuous function with \(\lim_{t \rightarrow 0^+

DERIVATIVES OF CONTINUOUS FUNCTIONS
Mathematics of the USSR-Izvestiya, 1968The possible relations between derivatives with respect to congruent sets almost everywhere on an interval are investigated. It is proved that these relations depend on the structure of the congruent sets. The connection with asymptotic differentiability is considered.

Degrees of continuous functionals
Journal of Symbolic Logic, 1973AbstractThe partial order structure of degrees of unsolvability represented by continuous type-2 functional is a proper extension of the partial order structure of type-1 degrees.

Unique Continuation for Continuous CR Functions
The Journal of Geometric AnalysisThe main objective of this paper is the unique continuation of continuous CR functions defined on smooth CR manifolds embedded in complex spaces. Given a point \(p\) of a CR manifold \(M\), let \(\Omega(M, p)\) be the CR orbit of all points in \(M\) connected to \(p\) through some piecewise CR curve.

Note on Continuous Functionals
Mathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 19311. Let ℱ be a family of functions X (t) defined in (0, 2π). The functionals to be considered are of a particular class, namely those which define a correspondence between each function X of ℱ and a number which we denote by F(X). It is convenient to refer to F(X) as the functional.
