Continuous grazing oncenchrus ciliaris
Proceedings of the Annual Congresses of the Grassland Society of Southern Africa, 1979Abstract Breeding cattle grazed Cenchrus ciliaris continuously for four years. Excellent calving percentages (mean 95,25%) and good weaning masses (mean 245 kg) were obtained, the A.D.G.’s being 0,963 kg for heifers and 1,075 kg for bulls. The system was planned to eliminate grazing management as a factor.

THE PATTERN OF GRAZING IN ‘CONTINUOUSLY’ GRAZED SWARDS
Grass and Forage Science, 1969The frequency and severity of defoliation of small sample areas, 8 × 8 cm, was studied in swards of S37 cocksfoot which were maintained at different levels of leaf‐area index by continuous grazing with lambs. By varying the number of lambs grazing a plot, the LAI was maintained at three approximately constant levels, 5.3 (H), 4.1 (M), and 3.0 (L).

Continuous and discontinuous grazing bifurcations in impacting oscillators
Physica D: Nonlinear Phenomena, 2006Grazing bifurcations occur in nonsmooth dynamical systems when the behavior of the system changes discontinuously associated with a grazing contact. By a grazing contact, the interaction of an attractor with a discontinuity of the system is meant. In mechanics, such events represent transitions between non-impacting and impacting dynamics.

Alfalfa Persistence and Regrowth Potential under Continuous Grazing
Agronomy Journal, 1989AbstractAlfalfa (Medicago saliva L.) generally does not persist well under continuous grazing. Experiments were conducted under continuous grazing to compare the persistence and regrowth potential of an alfalfa germplasm (Georgia—Grazed Collection, GA‐GC), selected for continuous grazing, with two hay‐type (Apollo and Florida 77) and two grazing‐type ...
