Choked-jet edge-tone experiments, Continued.

Edge tones occur continuously from somewhat below choking, at pressure ratio R=1.89, to somewhat above R=4.1, for a 17.7-×3.7-mm nozzle and 8° wedge. In marked contrast to the classical edge tone, the behavior is complex with varying characteristics.

A pilot-scale continuous-jet hydrate reactor

A three-phase, pilot-scale continuous-jet hydrate reactor (CJHR) has been developed for the production of gas hydrates. The reactor receives water and a hydrate-forming species to produce the solid gas hydrate. The CJHR has been tested for the production of CO{sub 2} hydrate for the purpose of ocean carbon sequestration.
