Low‐Outgassing Liquid Metal–Silicone Composites for Multifunctional Space Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Integrating liquid metal microdroplets into a space‐grade silicone creates a multifunctional composite while preserving its inherent flexibility and low‐outgassing behavior. The composite has 11×$\times$ higher thermal conductivity while remaining thermally stable and maintaining a total mass loss of ≤$\le$ 1% under thermal vacuum testing.

Zinc Chloride–Polyethylene Oxide Gel Polymer Electrolytes for Wearable and Flexible Energy Storage Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We investigate gel polymer electrolyte ZnCl2‐PEO as energy storage materials in flexible electrochemical capacitors, aiming to provide new insights into energy solutions for low‐powered portable electronics. ABSTRACT We prepared and evaluated the properties of hydrated ZnCl2‐Polyethylene oxide (PEO) gel polymer electrolyte (H‐GPE) for flexible ...

Dynamic Fluorescence Modulation via Light‐Driven Competitive Protonation

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐component molecular system demonstrates reversible, light‐driven fluorescence write–erase cycling and thermal imaging. Illumination of a merocyanine photoacid transfers a proton to a highly efficient fluorescent pyridinium dye, switching its emission color; thermal relaxation reverses the process in the dark.

Electrically Induced Photonic Assemblies of Faceted ZIF‐8 Crystals Exhibiting Binary Angle‐Dependent Structural Color and Metamerism

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Electric fields drive dynamic photonic assemblies that reversibly generate structural color. By tuning nanoscale organization through controlled particle disorder, the presented system exhibits a unique binary color response, switching between blue and pink depending on viewing angle. Combined with metameric design, this allows for a two‐factor optical
