Experimental advances in broadband continuous variable quantum key distribution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Quantum key distribution is the first major area of quantum information science to find practical use outside of its field. Quantum key distribution involves transmitting cryptographic keys using quantum states.

Reaction‐Time pH Stabilization by Poly(acrylic acid) with Ethanol‐Mediated Growth Control for Efficient Hydrothermal Sb2(S,Se)3 Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Poly(acrylic acid) acts as a reaction‐time pH buffer during hydrothermal Sb2(S,Se)3 growth through its COOH/COO‐ equilibrium. When combined with ethanol‐regulated growth, this buffering strategy reduces Sb‐O related surface disorder, improves local electronic uniformity and carrier collection, and increases the champion solar‐cell efficiency to 10.25%,

Defect‐Mediated Inelastic Light Scattering by Infrared Phonons in Hexagonal Boron Nitride

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optically active defects in hexagonal boron nitride enable inelastic stimulated light scattering mediated by infrared‐active phonons, relaxing conventional Raman selection rules. Defect engineering enhances the Stokes‐conversion process and activates both TO‐ and LO‐phonon scattering channels.

Nanoamphizymes: Self‐Assembled Amphiphilic Enzymatic Nanomaterials for High‐Performance Biocatalysis and Biosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An amphiphilic GOx nanoamphizyme was constructed by covalently introducing hydrophobic PPNI linkers onto GOx, enabling spontaneous self‐assembly into tunable nanoparticles. Mild crosslinking further stabilized the assemblies and enhanced catalytic performance and stability.

Phase-Aware Multidimensional Reconciliation for Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution

open access: yesInformation
Continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD) relies on efficient information reconciliation to establish identical secret key sequences from correlated modulation data and measurement outcomes.

Insulating‐Passivating Interfaces for Narrow‐Bandgap Tin‐Lead Perovskites Enable High‐Photovoltage in Single‐ and Double‐Junction Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Combining field‐effect surface passivation of a narrow‐bandgap tin–lead perovskite by diammonium ions with introducing oleyl‐based amphiphiles to create insulating interface layers between the absorber and the adjacent hole and electron transporting layers increases the open‐circuit voltage to 91.5% of the detailed‐balance limit and enhances the power ...

Asymptotic Security Analysis of Discrete-Modulated Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2019
Continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV QKD) protocols with discrete modulation are interesting due to their experimental simplicity and their great potential for massive deployment in the quantum-secured networks, but their security analysis is

Secret key rates of free-space optical continuous-variable quantum key distribution

open access: yes, 2019
In this letter, we derive the maximal achievable secret key rates for continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CVQKD) over free-space optical (FSO) quantum channels. We provide a channel decomposition for FSO-CVQKD quantum channels and study the SNR

GeS as an Emerging OTS Material: Atomic Structure and Modeling of ON/OFF Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The structural puzzle of glassy GeS, an advanced memory‐selector material, has finally been disentangled, revealing a patchwork of mixed tetrahedral and trigonal species. Under a high electric field, over‐ and under‐coordinated Ge and S defects, together with three‐membered rings, form an interconnected network associated with localized and extended ...
