Observation of intrinsic chiral bound states in the continuum
Nature, 2022Photons with spin angular momentum possess intrinsic chirality, which underpins many phenomena including nonlinear optics^ 1 , quantum optics^ 2 , topological photonics^ 3 and chiroptics^ 4 .

The Effect of Continuum-continuum Transitions on Laser-induced Continuum Structures
Journal of Modern Optics, 1990Laser-induced continuum structures (LICS) can be produced by a strong laser embedding a low-lying atomic state into a flat atomic continuum, which leads to a tunable asymmetric Fano resonance of adjustable width that can be probed by a second weak laser. In this paper the effects on LICS of transitions caused by the embedding laser between the original

Coherent trapping in continuum-continuum transitions
Physical Review A, 1986We study a quantum model in which transitions occur between structureless continua. The population is in one of the continua initially. When the continuum-continuum coupling is very strong, we show that the continua are decoupled and population trapping occurs.

The authors have tried to exhibit some of the most significant lines of research, appeared in literature during the last 15-20 years in continuum thermodynamics. The main parts of this paper are briefly described: The first section is devoted to the basic equations.

From Preparation to Practice: Designing a Continuum to Strengthen and Sustain Teaching
Teachers College Record, 2001This paper was written to stimulate discussions and debate about what a professional learning continuum from initial preparation through the early years of teaching could be like. Drawing on a broad base of literature, the author proposes a framework for

EXISTENCE OF COMPETITIVE EQUILIBRIA IN MARKETS WITH A CONTINUUM OF TRADERS
Classics in Game Theory, 2020: It is well known, and easy to establish, that there exist markets that do not have competitive equilibria, provided the traders do not have convex preferences--that is, that the set of commodity bundles preferred or indifferent to a given bundle is not

In spite of the term 'endophyte' being employed for all organisms that inhabit plants, mycologists have come to use the term 'fungal endophyte' for fungi that inhabit plants without causing visible disease symptoms. The term refers only to fungi at the moment of detection without regard for the future status of the interaction.

The anatomic communications between the neck and the mediastinum are described. Anatomic sections and drawing are used to demonstrate the normal compartments, their fascial envelopes, their contained structures, and their interrelationships. Selected cases are used to illustrate the spread of pathologic processes within the cervicothoracic region.

Photonic Bound States in the Continuum: From Basics to Applications
Advanced Optical Materials, 2020The introduction of bound states in the continuum (BICs) to photonics has revolutionized the way cavity design and light–matter interactions are thought about in general.

A Vlasov type equation on a period interval (modelling a one-dimensional periodic plasma) is studied with regards to a special class of exact weak solutions known as the waterbag model. Existence of a continuum of regular waterbags is shown. The proof is based on a-priori estimates of terms associated with Riemann invariants and uses harmonic analysis,
