Contour-Based V2V Channel Cluster Identification Algorithm
2020 International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing (IWCMC), 2020In this paper, a Contour-based Cluster Identification (CCI) algorithm is proposed to identify the clusters in Concatenated Power Delay Profiles (CPDPs). To predict the characteristics of clusters, we introduce four methods to the three-fold CCI algorithm.

Clustering-based control of active contour model
Object recognition supported by user interaction for service robots, 2003To extract object regions from images, the methods using region-based active contour model (ACM) have been proposed. By controlling ACM with the statistical characteristics of the image properties, these methods effect robust region extraction. However the existing methods require redundant processing and cannot adapt to complex scene images.

Contour-based joint clustering of multiple segmentations
CVPR 2011, 2011We present an unsupervised, shape-based method for joint clustering of multiple image segmentations. Given two or more closely-related images, such as nearby frames in a video sequence or images of the same scene taken under different lighting conditions, our method generates a joint segmentation of the images.

Postal address block location by contour clustering
Seventh International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition, 2003. Proceedings., 2004We have developed a well performing algorithm for locating address blocks in postal parcel images. Both machine printed and handwritten addresses are processed by the algorithm. The algorithm is invariant to the image orientation and scale, and it works with high noise images. It could also serve as an additional step after other address block location

Superpixel Segmentation via Contour Optimized Non-Iterative Clustering
2021Superpixels intuitively over-segment an image into small partitions with homogeneity. Owing to the superiority of region-level description, it has been widely used in various computer vision applications as a substitute tool for pixels. However, there is still a disharmony between color homogeneity and shape regularity among existing superpixel ...

Multiscale Symmetry Detection in Scalar Fields by Clustering Contours
IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, 2014The complexity in visualizing volumetric data often limits the scope of direct exploration of scalar fields. Isocontour extraction is a popular method for exploring scalar fields because of its simplicity in presenting features in the data. In this paper, we present a novel representation of contours with the aim of studying the similarity relationship

A PCA-Fuzzy Clustering Algorithm for Contours Analysis
2011Principal component analysis (PCA) is a usefully tool for data compression and information extraction. It is often utilized in point cloud processing as it provides an efficient method to approximate local point properties through the examination of the local neighborhoods.
