The contourlet transform: an efficient directional multiresolution image representation [PDF]
The limitations of commonly used separable extensions of one-dimensional transforms, such as the Fourier and wavelet transforms, in capturing the geometry of image edges are well known. In this paper, we pursue a "true" two-dimensional transform that can capture the intrinsic geometrical structure that is key in visual information.

Quantum Machine Learning Applications to Medical Images: A Survey
In this review paper, we provide an outline of quantum neural networks (QNNs), quantum convolution neural networks (QCNNs) and various hybrid models. We also explore human brain‐inspired quantum neuromorphic computing by the quantum spiking neural networks (QSNN).

Provably Convergent Low‐Rank Grayscale Image Fusion via Adaptive Weighted Nuclear Norm Minimization
We propose a fully unsupervised, convex, and globally convergent framework for multimodal grayscale image fusion based on adaptive weighted nuclear norm minimization (WNNM). By formulating the fusion task as a low‐rank matrix recovery problem with data‐driven singular value reweighting, the method automatically preserves salient structural features ...

Multispectral image pansharpening based on the contourlet transform
Pansharpening is a technique that fuses the information of a low-resolution multispectral image and a high-resolution panchromatic image, usually remote sensing images, to provide a high-resolution multispectral image. In the literature, this task has been addressed from different points of view being one of the most popular wavelet-based algorithms ...

A Review of Hydrophobicity Measurement and Classification Methods for High‐Voltage Insulators
Hydrophobicity is a critical property influencing the performance and reliability of high‐voltage insulators, particularly nonceramic types, by mitigating surface contamination and reducing the risk of flashover. This paper presents a comprehensive review of hydrophobicity assessment techniques, spanning traditional laboratory‐based techniques ...

A Spatiotemporal Scheme for Process Control Using Image Analysis of Speckle Patterns
ABSTRACT Conventional image‐based process control schemes require distinct, detectable features (e.g., edges or textures). In the absence of such features, current methods fail or require additional preprocessing. They are also prone to false detections from random noise, dirt, or scratches on the surface.

Multispectral image fusion technique based on decoupling of information
A multispectral image fusion method based on information decoupling is proposed to address the issue of unremarkable targets and the serious loss of background details. In accordance with the U‐shaped network structure, multi‐scale feature fusion is employed to obtain comprehensive contextual features.
