Gel‐Amin for Improving Extracellular Recordings of Cardiomyocytes in a 3D Microphysiological System
This work combines a conductive collagen‐based hydrogel with a laser‐cut and assembly technique to fabricate microphysiological systems that improve extracellular recordings of cardiomyocytes in 3D on microelectrode arrays. The inclusion of choline acrylate into GelMA imparts a higher electrical conductivity and improves the signal‐to‐noise ratio of on‐

Putting All One's Eggs in One Basket: Relational Contracts and the Provision of Local Public Services [PDF]
The provision of local public services is increasingly being contracted out to private companies. We observe that local governments regularly choose the same private operator for a range of different services, and develop a model of relational contracts ...

Self‐Adhesive Conductive Elastomers for Gel‐Free Biopotential Recording
σPOMaC, a self‐adhesive conductive citrate elastomer incorporating PEDOT:PSS and DBSA, enables gel‐free biopotential electrodes with stable conductivity and intrinsic skin adhesion. The composite exhibits low resistivity (∼ 0.02 Ω·cm), robust electrical performance during repeated use, and reliable on‐body ECG acquisition comparable to Ag/AgCl ...

Boron‐oxide‐assisted particle engineering stabilizes O3‐type layered cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries by mitigating phase transitions and lattice strain. Acting as flux and structural modifier, boron forms submicron hexagonal platelets with (003) facets and expanded Na‐layer spacing, enabling rapid Na⁺ diffusion and mechanical resilience.

P2‐type sodium layered oxides have potential for high‐voltage operation but suffer from structural instability and capacity fading. This work demonstrates that synergistic Li and Ti co‐doping enhances sodium inventory, suppresses detrimental phase transitions, and activates reversible lattice oxygen redox.

A Context-dependent Service Model
In service-oriented systems a service invariably is bound to a contract. This contract includes the functionalities and quality of services guarantees that the provider can make. But such guarantees are not absolute.
