MSOL restricted contractibility to planar graphs [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 2012
We study the computational complexity of graph planarization via edge contraction. The problem CONTRACT asks whether there exists a set $S$ of at most $k$ edges that when contracted produces a planar graph. We work with a more general problem called $P$-RESTRICTEDCONTRACT in which $S$, in addition, is required to satisfy a fixed MSOL formula $P(S,G ...

Intrapatient tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution in an autopsy study of metastatic salivary gland cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution of metastatic salivary gland cancer were evaluated in two patients with adenoid carcinoma and one patient with myoepithelial carcinoma. Radiology‐guided autopsy enabled multi‐region sampling (total samples n = 149), followed by whole‐genome sequencing and phylogenetic reconstruction (17 tumour samples, 4–7 per ...

Binary contraction of graphs

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1983
We define the (elementary) binary contraction G"S of a graph G = (V, E) in the following way: if is an induced K"1","2 not contained into an induced K"1","3, then G"S is either the induced subgraph , or the graph obtained from by adding a new vertex adjacent to those [email protected]@bS such that has an odd number of edges (according that is contained

Ofatumumab in Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody–Associated Disease: A Comparison With Rituximab

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ofatumumab in patients with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), and compare it with rituximab. Methods We conducted a single–center, observational study including 22 MOGAD patients treated with ofatumumab and 21 treated with rituximab.

Light‐Assisted 3D Printing Techniques and Photocrosslinking Strategies: Recent Advances in Musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this review, the current state of light‐assisted 3D printing as it pertains to engineering musculoskeletal tissues including bone, cartilage, skeletal muscle, tendon, and ligaments is summarized. Common printing techniques, photoreactive materials, and study design choices are compiled and reviewed.

Iterated Clique Graphs and Contractibility

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Discrete Mathematics, 2008
Abstract To any graph G we can associate a simplicial complex Δ ( G ) whose simplices are the complete subgraphs of G, and thus we say that G is contractible whenever Δ ( G ) is so. We study the relationship between contractibility and K-nullity of G, where G is called K-null if some iterated clique graph of G is trivial.

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

On Contraction Principles in Product Spaces and Applications in Iterated Function Systems

open access: yesAxioms
This paper develops an extension of the research work by Proinov to the product spaces X|I| (I is representing an indexing set). This paper also introduces a novel class of (L;Y)-contractions defined on a supremum metric (X|I|,d′).

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...
