Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) is more accurate than other imaging methods in terms of detecting and staging pancreatic masses. However, for characterizing undetermined pancreatic masses, contrast-enhanced EUS that employs Doppler mode or contrast harmonic mode is better than conventional EUS.
