Adaptive control for quadrotors

2013 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2013
This paper presents an indirect adaptive control methodology for quadorotors. The methodology aims at controlling a family of quadrotor micro air vehicle with a common set of sensors and processing hardware but with various sizes, configurations, payloads and propeller types.

An Expert-Adaptive Controller

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1991
Abstract In this paper, an Expert-Adapt ive PID Controller is developed. The SelfTuning st rategies are based on on-line pattern recognition and PID self-tuning knowledge-base. The knowledge-base is constructed with the interior relations between patterns of control curves and PID parameters. Also some important control experiences are built into the

On the Applicability of Adaptive Control

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1987
Abstract In the last decade there has been a growing awareness that adaptive control can produce improved performance in real application, mainly as a result of considerable advances in the understanding of adaptive control theory as well as in the computer technology.

Adaptive control of systems with backlash

Automatica, 1992
Abstract We develop a mathematical model of backlash inverse and give a parametrization of the error caused by its estimate. We then design an adaptive backlash inverse controller for unknown plants with backlash and show the global boundedness of the dosed-loop signals. Simulations show major improvements of system performance.

Adaptive Decentralized Control.

1984
Abstract : This Final Report summarizes the results of a research effort directed towards the development of adaptive decentralized control systems. The adaptive controller in such a system must operate in the presence of unmodeled dynamics. An input-output approach was developed for analyzing the global stability and robustness properties of adaptive ...

Adaptive AIMD congestion control

Proceedings of the twenty-second annual symposium on Principles of distributed computing, 2003
The main objectives of a congestion control algorithm are high bandwidth utilization, fairness and responsiveness in changing environment. However, these objectives are contradicting in particular situations since the algorithm has to constantly probe available bandwidth, which may affect its stability.

The Adaptive Control of Prehension

Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, 1994
This paper provides a brief overview of the adaptive control of prehension. Several primary issues for research in the field are considered. One pertains to the stages of prehensile activity, with particular concern for the kinematic control of pre-contact phases, and the coordination of load and grip forces following contact.

Levels of Adaptation and Control

2011
To realise the vision of ubiquitous computing, we need to control heterogeneous and dynamically changing device ensembles, that is software components distributed over different devices encapsulating hardware functions or services. The resulting control systems must be real-time capable and able to describe their actions.

On Adaptive Manual Control

IEEE Transactions on Man Machine Systems, 1969
Experimental studies and control descriptions of the human operator in recent years have extended the knowledge of adaptive behaviour in manual control from vague generalities about his versatility to quantitative descriptions. Considerable data have been gathered on the ability of the human to adapt to changes in input spectra, controlled element gain,

Adaptive Control of a Synchronous Generator

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983
Abstract Theoretical aspects are based on PARK's equations while the experimental part is achieved from on-line machine frequency responses on small signals for different active or reactive powers. The concordant results show that a third order multi-input-multi-output non minimum phase system characterizes correctly the dynamic behaviour of the ...
