A Dispersion Control Chart

open access: yesCommunications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 2008
The study proposes a Shewhart-type control chart, namely Q chart, based on inter-quartile range, for monitoring changes (especially of moderate and large amounts which is major concern of Shewhart-type control charts) in process dispersion assuming normality of quality characteristic to be monitored. The design structure of Q chart is developed and its

Multivariate control charts: Control charts for calibration curves

Fresenius' Journal of Analytical Chemistry, 1994
The proposed multivariate control charts for p-dimensional vectors are an extension of the conventional control charts for one variable. The controlling quantity is the Mahalanobis distance of vector x from the central value vector x..: D=(x-x..)TĈ-1.(x-x..), where Ĉ is the covariance matrix estimate. The quantity D has Hotelling's T2 distribution.

Clinical control charts

Australian Dental Journal, 1974
Abstract— Using a modified DMF index from existing data a method, based on the amount of treatment previously received, is demonstrated for constructing control charts for assessing the effectiveness of and for detecting trends in a school dental service.

A modified MEWMA control chart: PEWMA control chart

International Journal of Management Concepts and Philosophy, 2017
The multivariate exponentially weighted moving average (MEWMA) control chart, in which the smoothing parameter is a principal diagonal matrix, is established based on the assumption that the samples follow the standard normal distribution to monitor the multivariate quality characteristics.

Tukeyʼs Control Chart

Quality Management in Health Care, 2004
This article presents the idea of Tukey's Control Chart, a method of analyzing data based on the concepts developed by John Tukey for calculation of confidence intervals for medians. The procedure is simple to implement (no need to calculate averages or standard deviations); it does not assume any distribution of the data; it can be applied to small ...

Control Charts of Workflows

2008
This paper focuses on the control of the performance characteristics of workflows modeled with stochastic Petri nets (SPN's). This goal is achieved by focusing on a new model for Artificial Social Systems (ASS's) behaviors, and by introducing equivalent transfer functions for SPN's.
