Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Economic evaluation and design of control mechanisms to determine the concentration of juices

open access: yesAgricultural Economics (AGRICECON), 2014
There is a significant attention paid to food analysis in the context of authenticity monitoring in the food industry. Although this has focussed increasingly on food safety and authenticity, the agro-food sector has also instituted requirements for the ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Revitalisation in control of business

open access: yesAgricultural Economics (AGRICECON), 2007
This paper deals with the design of information architecture for the revitalisation of business processes. The proposal of a control system for a formalised decision-making process of revitalisation is in accordance with this information architecture ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

A comprehensive study on the relationship between structure and antioxidant activity of natural deep eutectic solvent extracted polysaccharides from Chinese yam peel using asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X
In this study, an ultrasound-assisted natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) combined with enzymatic deproteinization was developed for extracting Chinese Yam peel polysaccharide (CYPP) from two varieties.
