Feedback control and its impact on generalist predator–prey system with prey harvesting

open access: yes, 2019
This article examines the effectiveness of feedback control as a management policy on a generalist predator–prey system with prey harvesting. We discuss the result of implementing feedback control with respect to prey and predator separately.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

A zero-dimensional approach to compute real radicals [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2008
The notion of real radicals is a fundamental tool in Real Algebraic Geometry. It takes the role of the radical ideal in Complex Algebraic Geometry. In this article I shall describe the zero-dimensional approach and efficiency improvement I have found ...

Stability analysis of the orbits of control systems

open access: yesMathematical Systems Theory, 1981
Extensive research in nonlinear system theory in recent years has shown that a number of system theoretic questions are closely related to the behaviour of the (controllability) orbits of the system. Thus orbit minimality, namely the property of the system having its state space identical to one orbit, arises naturally when dealing with controllability

Modeling and prescribed H-infinity tracking control for strict feedback nonlinear systems

open access: yes, 2017
By utilizing backstepping technique, an H∞ robust controller with improved prescribed performance and dynamic surface control is designed for a class of strict feedback nonlinear systems.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Grobner Bases for Nonlinear DAE Systems of Analog Circuits [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2008
Systems of differential equations play an important role in modelling and analysis of many complex systems e.g. in electronics and mechanics. The following article is concerned with a symbolic analysis approach for reduction of the differential index of ...

Modelling and Simulating of Risk Behaviours in Virtual Environments Based on Multi-Agent and Fuzzy Logic

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2013
Due to safety and ethical issues, traditional experimental approaches to modelling underground risk behaviours can be costly, dangerous and even impossible to realize.

Trajectory tracking control of a quadrotor UAV based on sliding mode active disturbance rejection control

open access: yes, 2019
This paper proposes a sliding mode active disturbance rejection control scheme to deal with trajectory tracking control problems for the quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Firstly, the differential signal of the reference trajectory can be obtained
