Control synthesis in (max,+) systems
EFTA 2003. 2003 IEEE Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation. Proceedings (Cat. No.03TH8696), 2004Control synthesis is an important problem in the field of discrete event systems. The subclass of Timed event graphs can be modelled by state equations using the (max,+) algebra. This document proposes an approach of constraint propagation type using Kleene's star in order to solve the control synthesis problem.

Control of vector discrete-event systems. II. Controller synthesis
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1994Summary: It was shown in Part I [ibid. 38, 1214-1227 (1993; Zbl 0784.93007)] that vector discrete-event systems (VDES) provide compact models for a useful class of control systems. In this sequel, it is shown that associated control synthesis problems of Ramadge-Wonham type can be efficiently solved under mild technical restrictions, using elementary ...

Control Synthesis for Čaplygin Polynomial Systems
Acta Applicandae Mathematica, 2000Powerful analytic tools have been developed in order to investigate controllability of nonlinear systems. But, on the other hand, there are no effective synthesis procedures. In other words, we can (more or less) easily determine whether an arbitrary nonlinear system can be steered from any given point into certain prescribed state -- but are unable ...

Performance-aware scheduler synthesis for control systems
Proceedings of the ninth ACM international conference on Embedded software, 2011We consider the problem of designing a cyber-physical system where several control loops share the same architectural resources. Typically, the design of such systems proceeds in two steps. In the platform independent step, for each control loop in the system, the control designer calculates a control law and a sampling time that together ensure that ...

Application of State-Space Method for Control System Analysis
International Siberian Conference on Control and Communications, 2019This paper deals with the research of dynamics of a semiconductor converter, which represents a link in an automatic control system. First, we describe mathematically the circuit of the boost converter open loop, introducing a method for obtaining a ...

Automatic Synthesis of Supervisory Control Systems
2016Sequential composition is an effective supervisory control method for addressing control problems in nonlinear dynamical systems. It executes a set of controllers sequentially to achieve a control specification that cannot be realized by a single controller.

Classical/neural synthesis of nonlinear control systems
AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control Conference and Exhibit, 2000Classical/neural synthesis of control systems combines the most effective elements of old and new design concepts with the promise of producing better control systems. There is considerable precedent for applying gain-scheduled linear controllers to nonlinear systems, especially those that can be locally approximated as linear-parameter-varying systems;

In this paper, the event-based controller synthesis problem for networked control systems under the resilient event-triggering communication scheme (RETCS) and periodic denial-of-service (DoS) jamming attacks is studied.

Controller Synthesis of Positive Systems
2017In this chapter, we focus on the static output-feedback controller synthesis problem for positive linear systems. As reported in Chap. 2, the stability condition of a positive system with time-varying delays can be reduced to that of a corresponding delay-free system.
