Intrastate Truck Driver Pay and Safety: A Longitudinal Analysis

ABSTRACT Truck drivers, their employers, and the public bear the costs of large truck crashes. Prior research finds that truck drivers tend to have fewer crashes when they are paid more, yet much of the U.S. industry operates with low pay and high turnover.

Pneumatic Servodrives Control Using On/Off Solenoid Valves

This article is concerned with the problems of position-controlled pneumatic servodrive. The position control is implemented using low-cost on/off solenoid valves in place of costly proportional valve. The control methods based on simply on/off control algorithm and on pulse-width-modulation (PWM) algorithm are presented.
