Brain network controllability in genetic risk, childhood abuse, and adult anxiety
Background: Network control theory can quantify controllability to evaluate how altered transitions between brain states contribute to cognitive, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Childhood abuse, influenced by genetics, is associated with disrupted

Alternate checking criteria for reachable controllability of rectangular descriptor systems [PDF]
summary:Contrary to state space systems, there are different notions of controllability for linear time invariant descriptor systems due to the non smooth inputs and inconsistent initial conditions.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

ESTIMATING THE IMPACT OF CARGO PARAMETERS AND EXTERNAL LOAD ON HELICOPTER CONTROLLABILITY
Within the problems solution of complex research in helicopter controllability, the reasons of changes controllability parameters when transporting cargo using external load have previously been identified. The next stage of research is to determine how ...

Residual Income in Four Dimensions: Goal-Congruity, Controllability, Understandability and Practicability [PDF]
The article discusses ten versions of residual income known in the literature from the point of view of four criteria that are of special importance if the measure is to be the basis of managerial bonuses: goal-congruity, controllability ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

WHO CONTROLS THE FAT CONTROLLER? [PDF]
Sir Topham Hatt, known to Thomas and all the other engines on the Isle of Sodor as the ‘Fat Controller’, started his career as a humble railway engineer. Yet he rose to become the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Railway Board. Sir Topham, of course, inhabited a simpler world than ours.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
