The Work-Product Doctrine: Protection, Not Privilege [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
Although the work-product doctrine has received considerable attention before the courts in recent years, several issues regarding the scope and applicability of the doctrine remain controversial As a prelude to explaining the state of the law on these ...

Fermi Surface, Surface States, and Surface Reconstruction in Sr2RuO4

open access: yes, 2000
The electronic structure of Sr2RuO4 is investigated by high angular resolution ARPES at several incident photon energies. We address the controversial issues of the Fermi surface (FS) topology and of the van Hove singularity at the M point, showing that ...

Comprehensive Profiling of N6‐methyladnosine (m6A) Readouts Reveals Novel m6A Readers That Regulate Human Embryonic Stem Cell Differentiation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research deciphers the m6A transcriptome by profiling its sites and functional readout effects: from mRNA stability, translation to alternative splicing, across five different cell types. Machine learning model identifies novel m6A‐binding proteins DDX6 and FXR2 and novel m6A reader proteins FUBP3 and L1TD1.

CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES OF SAPRONOSES AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

open access: yesФундаментальная и клиническая медицина, 2017
Here I discuss the controversial issues of sapronoses in a general biomedical context. The novel data on ecology and epidemiology of sapronotic agents are contradictory to the conventional concept that significantly impacts terminology and classification.

LMO7 Suppresses Tumor‐Associated Macrophage Phagocytosis of Tumor Cells Through Degradation of LRP1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LMO7 in tumor‐associated macrophages suppresses phagocytosis of tumor cells and limits cytotoxic T lymphocytes infiltration, fostering tumor progression. Mechanistically, LMO7 mediates the ubiquitination and degradation of the phagocytic receptor LRP1, impairing its ability to engulf tumor cells and driving macrophages toward an antitumor phenotype ...

Fermi liquid theory of ultra-cold trapped Fermi gases: Implications for Pseudogap Physics and Other Strongly Correlated Phases

open access: yes, 2010
We show how Fermi liquid theory can be applied to ultra-cold Fermi gases, thereby expanding their "simulation" capabilities to a class of problems of interest to multiple physics sub-disciplines.

Red Blood Cells Internalize Extracellular DNA via Apoptotic Bodies with Clinical Relevance to Cancer Patients

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mature red blood cells (RBCs) can capture extracellular DNA, with short fragments homologous to cfDNA. This uptake is mediated by apoptotic bodies, which induce RBC oxidative stress, deformation, and accelerated in vivo clearance. The rbcDNA abundance correlates with tumor burden and therapeutic response, highlighting its potential as a liquid biopsy ...
