Solvability of Some Fractional Boundary Value Problems with a Convection Term

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2019
This paper is devoted to the research of some Caputo’s fractional derivative boundary value problems with a convection term. By the use of some fixed-point theorems and the properties of Green function, the existence results of at least one or triple ...

A 3D Human Bone and Bone Marrow‐on‐a‐Chip Model for In Vitro Bone Remodeling and Immune Cell Maintenance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a human Bone (and Bone Marrow)‐on‐a‐Chip model based on native human bone scaffolds and autologous cells. Dynamic perfusion and sequential cell seeding replicate the physiological bone remodeling process in vitro, enabling the long‐term culture of functional, mature bone marrow immune subpopulations.

Error estimates of characteristic finite elements for bilinear convection–diffusion optimal control problems

open access: yesResults in Applied Mathematics
This paper investigates a fully discrete characteristic finite element approximation of bilinear unsteady convection–diffusion optimal control problems. The characteristic line method is used to treat the convection term and the finite element method is ...

Highly Flexible and Conformable ZnO/FeGa Magnetoelectric Heterostructures for Skin wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The magnetic field‐induced electric field generated by a highly flexile ZnO(piezoelectric)/FeGa(magnetostrictive) magnetoelectric heterostructure embedded in the low Young's modulus elastomer PDMS has been used to stimulate the wound healing processes.

Sustainable Fabrication of Tailored Bone Substitutes: From High‐Throughput Scaffold Manufacturing, Scaled‐Up HMSC Expansion to Dynamic Cultivation in a Perfusion Bioreactor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The demand for off‐the‐shelf biocompatible bone substitutes has driven the development of numerous independent in vitro technologies to generate products resembling physiological tissues. Due to technical challenges and overly simplified cultivation approaches/niches, the end‐products are often uniformly shaped and inferior to native bone ...
