Europhysics Letters (EPL), 1995We consider colloidal aggregation in which the rate limiting step is the convective transport of the aggregating species. Simulations of this process in the limit of particle-cluster accretion show that fractal aggregates are formed, with a fractal dimension of around 2.5 in three dimensions, and 1.6 in two dimensions.
