Pioneering Insights into the Reaction Kinetics of Metastable Intermolecular Composites Based on Metal Fluorides: Virtually non‐existent condensed Phase Combustion Products and Ultra‐Efficient Reactivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 14, April 10, 2025.
Novel nano‐thermite designed based on bismuth's low boiling point and the Bi─F bond's low dissociation energy, features enhanced reactivity, minimal condensed phase combustion residues, and self‐pressurization. Its distinctive reaction dynamics facilitate a pre‐ignition stage, resulting in a reduced ignition threshold.

Controlled Self‐Assembly and Photo‐Thermal Activation of Viologen‐Based 2D Semiconductors for Dual‐Function Energy Management in All‐Weather Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 13, April 3, 2025.
An alternative strategy is proposed to achieve dual‐functional energy management of photo‐thermo‐activated viologen 2D semiconductors for enhanced solar water evaporation (2.39 kg m−2 h−1 under one sun), water‐enabled electricity generation (≈480 mV and ≈60 µA cm−2), and electrothermal evaporation approach is integrated to enable all‐weather ...

Self‐Adaptive Reflectance Film for Passive Temperature Regulation in Diverse Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The rising demand for space cooling calls for innovative passive thermal systems. Traditional radiative cooling materials lack efficiency and alignment with cooling needs, limiting their energy‐saving. A smart film (PFSF) that integrates radiative cooling, reflectance tuning, and phase transition, offering adaptable temperature control across climates ...

Rapid Blood Clot Removal via Remote Delamination and Magnetization of Clot Debris

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 17, May 8, 2025.
A programmable colloidal microswarm is developed to quickly detach blood clots and enable rapid recanalization, with the detached debris functioning as a magnetic “debris‐robot” that can be efficiently propelled and retrieved via catheter suction, which could significantly save time compared to the critical “Golden 6 hours” window for ischemic stroke ...

Nanoscale Resist‐Free Patterning of Halogenated Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks by Extreme UV Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 16, April 24, 2025.
This work presents a direct, resist‐free patterning method for metal–organic frameworks using extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, achieving a resolution of 40 nm. The EUV mechanism is investigated through synchrotron in situ X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
