How Signals of Silence Sustain Sexual Harassment and What to Do About It

open access: yesHuman Resource Management, Volume 65, Issue 4, Page 1033-1054, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Sexual harassment has persisted for decades as an open secret within organizations, creating an ongoing challenge for Human Resource practitioners. Many employees experience or witness harassment yet say nothing. When they contemplate complaining, they are discouraged from doing so. Some still muster the courage to speak out about these abuses,

Diagnostic validity of Addictions Neuroclinical Assessment indices for alcohol use disorder: Findings from an observational case–control study

open access: yesAddiction, Volume 121, Issue 7, Page 1810-1823, July 2026.
Abstract Background and aims The Addictions Neuroclinical Assessment (ANA) provides a framework for assessing alcohol use disorder (AUD) with indices that may be both mechanistically and diagnostically informative. This study evaluated an array of measures from the three ANA domains in relation to AUD diagnostic status. Design This cross‐sectional case–

Aspartate Transporter SLC1A3 Promotes Colorectal Cancer via MDM2‐p53 Pathway and M2 Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 7, Page 1813-1827, July 2026.
SLC1A3 promotes colorectal cancer progression by transporting extracellular aspartate into tumor cells, thereby activating the PKC/MDM2/p53 pathway to enhance proliferation. Reduced extracellular aspartate, combined with p53‐dependent suppression of CSF2 and IL17C, drives M2 macrophage polarization via immune modulation, macrophage recruitment, and M2 ...

Parameter Variation in Planetary Ball Milling of Titanium Aluminide Powder in XHV‐Adequate Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 12, 17 June 2026.
This study investigates the effects of milling parameters, including rotational speed, milling duration, and ball‐to‐powder ratio, on TiAl particle size and morphology in an XHV‐equivalent atmosphere. The creation of oxide‐free surfaces enhances the mechanical properties of green bodies.

From Citrus to Cymene: Understanding the Hydrothermal Conversion of Limonene

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
When life gives you limonene… Hydrothermal conversion and pyrolysis of limonene give two distinct sets of products, arising from differing reaction cascades. While p‐cymene dominates in the presence of water, indicative of an isomerisation/aromatisation pathway, pyrolysis favours cracking and loss of carbon affording an m‐xylene rich aromatic mix.
