MR Angiography Compared to Conventional Selective Angiography in Acute Stroke [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Neurological Sciences / Journal Canadien des Sciences Neurologiques, 2006
ABSTRACT: Background and purpose: Accuracy of intracranial magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) and reliability of interpretation are not well established compared to conventional selective catheter angiography. The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of MRA in evaluation of intracranial vessels in acute stroke and ...

Comparison of magnetic resonance angiography, conventional angiography, and duplex scanning. [PDF]

open access: yesStroke, 1992
To determine the accuracy of magnetic resonance angiography in assessing patients with cerebrovascular disease, we performed a study comparing the results of conventional cerebral angiography, duplex scanning, and magnetic resonance angiography. From 42 patients, a total of 25 carotid arteries were evaluated by all three techniques.

Conventional cerebral angiography in children with ischemic stroke

open access: yesPediatric Neurology, 1999
A retrospective review of conventional cerebral angiograms of 46 children with ischemic stroke was undertaken. Comparison was made with findings on magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance angiography where available. Thirty-six children (78%) underwent magnetic resonance angiography in addition to conventional cerebral angiography.

Magnet Resonance Angiography versus Conventional Angiography for the Planning of Reconstructive Surgeries [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, 2007
Assessing the vascular status and anatomy of the lower extremity is of crucial importance when planning the coverage of a tissue defect with a free flap. The standard techniques comprise the clinical examination, Doppler ultrasound and Doppler sonography for healthy patients without suspected direct trauma to the vascular system, and conventional ...
