Catalysts for polyimide foams from aromatic isocyanates and aromatic dianhydrides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
Polyimide foam products having greatly improved burn-through and flame-spread resistance are prepared by the reaction of aromatic polyisocyanates with aromatic dianhydrides in the presence of metallic salts of octoic acid. The salts, for example stannous

Pellet Printing for Soft Robotic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fused Granulate Fabrication (FGF) is established here as a reliable method for fabricating soft, airtight robotic devices. Through coordinated optimization of hardware, material selection, and process parameters, this approach enables high‐speed printing of thermoplastic elastomers with silicone‐like softness and modulus.

Solid‐Like yet Reconfigurable 3D‐Printed Liquid Tubular Wires From Nonconductive Molecules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work shatters the current reliance of liquid electronics on intrinsically conductive materials by introducing a novel interfacial redox strategy that transforms non‐conductive molecules into high‐performance, 3D liquid tubular wires with solid‐like electrical properties and exceptional reconfigurability. It opens a vast design space for all‐liquid

Miniaturized 3D Magnetic Force Sensor via Laser‐Assisted Folding and Magnetization for Enhanced Robotic Dexterity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To achieve 3D force sensing in confined spaces such as fingertips, we developed a laser‐assisted folding and magnetization method to fabricate miniature films with precise centripetal magnetization. The resulting compact sensor delivers high force resolution, rapid response, and long‐term stability, significantly enhancing the manipulation capabilities

Temporal Interference Stimulation Enhances Neural Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temporal interference (TI) stimulation is proposed as a non‐invasive approach to enhance neural regeneration in the deep brain. Theta‐band TI modulation selectively promotes neural progenitor cell differentiation in vitro and augments hippocampal neurogenesis in amouse model of Alzheimer's disease‐like amyloidosis.
