Sorptivity of an Inceptisol under Conventional and Reduced Tillage Practices

open access: yesJOURNAL OF TROPICAL SOILS, 2017
The amount of water captured and stored in the soil profile until the next precipitation events is of great importance in dryland agro-ecosystem for successful crop production. The soil’s ability to rapidly capture and store water precipitation can be accessed through measuring soil sorptivity.

Impact of Electrolyte Formulation on the Phase Behavior and Interphase Formation of Sb/Graphite Electrodes for K‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrolyte formulation is shown to govern both interphase chemistry and bulk phase evolution in Sb/graphite anodes for potassium‐ion batteries. A diglyme‐based localized high‐concentration electrolyte promotes a thin inorganic‐rich interphase, suppresses deep graphite potassiation, limits electrode swelling, and stabilizes amorphous KxSb formation ...

Tillage and brown manuring effects on soil properties and yield in Shivalik

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2019
The present study aimed to determine the effect of tillage and brown manuring in sandy loam soil under maize (Zea mays L.)-wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) sequence. Six treatments implemented were Conventional tillage (CT); Deep tillage once in three years (

No-Tillage impacts on soil hydraulic properties compared with conventional tillage

open access: yes, 2012
Soil hydraulic properties are very important in precision irrigation, water and solute transport and irrigation scheduling. Tillage can change near surface soil hydraulic properties. In this study Beerkan methodwas used to better understand tillage and no-tillage impacts on transmission properties of topsoil.

One‐Step Preparation of Lanthanide‐Doped Polyurea Multicolor Microspheres for Versatile Fluorescent Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lanthanide‐doped polyurea microspheres are prepared via a facile one‐step precipitation polymerization. They exhibit strong hydrogen‐bonding and coordination interactions with excellent properties, including multicolor emission, high quantum yield (75.3%), remarkable stability, redispersibility, and biocompatibility.

Effects of herbicides and tillage practices on weeds and summer mungbean (Vigna radiata) in wheat (Triticum aestivum)-mungbean cropping sequence

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2016
A field experiment was conducted at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute to study the weed management strategy in zero-tillage (ZT) and conventional tillage (CT) with and without residue during 2014 and 2015 in summer mungbean [Vigna radiata (L ...

Effect of No Tillage and Conventional Tillage on Wheat Grain Yield Variability: A Review

open access: yesJournal of Environmental & Earth Sciences
Conservation Agriculture (CA) covers more than 205 million hectares in the world. This made it possible to face and mitigate the challenges of climate change, reducing soil erosion and providing multiple ecosystem services. The first elementary factor influenced is the yield evaluation.

ZrO2 Aerogel‐Supported Pd Nanoparticles for Photothermal CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanoparticle‐based aerogels are promising catalysts for photothermal reactions due to optical transparency, high surface area, and low thermal conductivity. Here, we present deposition of Pd nanoparticles on ZrO2 aerogel granules by a wet‐impregnation approach.

PHYSICAL QUALITY OF AN OXISOL UNDER NO-TILLAGE AND CONVENTIONAL TILLAGE

open access: yes, 2015
The understanding and quantification of the impact of tillage systems in their physical quality are fundamental in the development of sustainable agricultural systems. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of an Oxisol under conventional tillage (CT) and no-tillage system (NT), through different physical indicators.

Metagenomic Association Uncovers Host Genotype‐Structured Rhizobacterial Networks and Novel Taxa That Enhance Soybean Salt Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An STI‐guided metagenomic association framework links soybean salt‐tolerance phenotypes with rhizosphere microbiome composition and network organization in natural saline soils. The approach identifies candidate beneficial taxa, including Thalassospira xiamenensis, and provides an efficient strategy for mining stress‐protective microbes from native ...
