Convergence Analysis for Anderson Acceleration
SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 2015Summary: \(\mathrm{Anderson}(m)\) is a method for acceleration of fixed point iteration which stores \(m+1\) prior evaluations of the fixed point map and computes the new iteration as a linear combination of those evaluations. \(\mathrm{Anderson}(0)\) is fixed point iteration.

Convergence Analysis of Stochastic Algorithms
Mathematics of Operations Research, 1996This paper investigates asymptotic convergence to stationary points of gradient descent algorithms where the functions involved are not available in closed form but are approximated by sequences of random functions. The algorithms take large stepsizes and use progressively finer precision at successive iterations.

Convergence Structures in Numerical Analysis
Zeitschrift für Analysis und ihre Anwendungen, 1996The paper deals — under the viewpoint of topology — with discrete Cauchy spaces, which are spaces where a discrete Cauchy structure (t,\mathcal C) (with t being a ...

Modelling Converging Hazards in Survival Analysis
Lifetime Data Analysis, 2004The Cox proportional hazards model has become the standard model for survival analysis. It is often seen as the null model in that "... explicit excuses are now needed to use different models" (Keiding, Proceedings of the XIXth International Biometric Conference, Cape Town, 1998).

Convergent Systems: Analysis and Synthesis
2005In this paper we extend the notion of convergent systems defined by B.P. Demidovich and introduce the notions of uniformly, exponentially convergent and input-to-state convergent systems. Basic (interconnection) properties of such systems are established. Sufficient conditions for input-to-state convergence are presented.

Convergence Analysis of Metaheuristics
2009In this tutorial, an overview on the basic techniques for proving convergence of metaheuristics to optimal (or sufficiently good) solutions is given. The presentation is kept as independent of special metaheuristic fields as possible by the introduction of a generic metaheuristic algorithm.

Graphical Analysis of Prism Adaptation, Convergence Accommodation, and Accommodative Convergence
Optometry and Vision Science, 1982A new form of graphical case analysis is described which quantifies static interactions between accommodative convergence, convergence accommodation, and prism adaptation. A clinical gradient measure of the CA/C ratio is compared to haploscopic measures to demonstrate the validity of the new clinical technique for measuring convergence accommodation ...
