Cryogenic Focused Ion Beam Milling to Investigate the Anisotropic Magnetotransport Properties of Bismuth Microcrystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The highly anisotropic Fermi surface of bismuth results in variations in magnetotransport properties across different crystallographic directions, which can be characterized by studying microcrystals. To avoid the observed surface melting under room temperature Focused Ion Beam (FIB) irradiation, two low‐temperature FIB fabrication methods are proposed

High‐Entropy Perovskite Nanofibers for Bifunctional Air Electrodes in Reversible Protonic Ceramic Electrochemical Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐entropy perovskite nanofibers serve as robust and active bifunctional air electrodes in reversible protonic ceramic electrochemical cells. Their compositional complexity stabilizes the lattice, enriches oxygen vacancies, and accelerates surface exchange.

Turbo-equalization: convergence analysis

2001 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37221), 2002
We investigate a sub-optimal iterative receiver for joint equalization and decoding called a turbo-equalizer. We view the evolution of the error variance of the transmitted symbols through iterative processing, obtaining the convergence analysis. This allows us to predict the asymptotic performance (when the turbo-equalizer has converged) but also the ...
