Incoherent convergence of diffraction free fields

Optics Communications, 2007
We describe a method for the synthesis of diffraction free fields by means of an ensemble of optical fields mutually incoherent. The constituent optical fields are generated by controlling the angular correlation function between two points distributed on a circle in the frequency space.

Convergence Behavior in Free Energy Simulations

Molecular Simulation, 1991
Abstract Free energy perturbation (FEP) simulations offer much promise for understanding site specific mutagenesis in protein engineering experiments and for rational drug design. These calculations can in principle yield the free energy difference between two states (for example a native and mutant protein) and some quite promising results have been ...

Convergence of derivative free iterative methods

Creative Mathematics and Informatics, 2019
We present the local as well as the semi-local convergence of some iterative methods free of derivatives for Banach space valued operators. These methods contain the secant and the Kurchatov method as special cases. The convergence is based on weak hypotheses specializing to Lipschitz continuous or Holder continuous hypotheses.
