Targeting Lactate and Lactylation in Cancer Metabolism and Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate, once deemed a metabolic waste, emerges as a central regulator of cancer progression. This review elucidates how lactate and its epigenetic derivative, protein lactylation, orchestrate tumor metabolism, immune suppression, and therapeutic resistance.

Understanding and Overcoming Antibody‐Drug Conjugate Resistance: Biological Mechanisms and Emerging Analytical Frameworks in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) transform breast cancer therapy, yet resistance limits their durability. Emerging evidence reveals that ADC failure is not solely tumor‐intrinsic but shaped by dynamic tumor–microenvironment interactions that alter drug delivery, processing, and response.

Mechanostimulatory Cues Determine Intestinal Fibroblast Fate and Profibrotic Remodeling in a Physiodynamic Human Gut‐on‐a‐Chip

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A healthy gut barrier shields underlying fibroblasts from luminal shear forces, illustrating that “good fences make good neighbors.” Barrier damage exposes fibroblasts to shear stress, inducing cell death and the emergence of stress‐adapted, profibrotic fibroblasts. Sustained shear exposure promotes the formation of stiff aggregates of mechanoadapative

Associated convergence and accommodative insufficiency

Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1973
Nine patients were described with a syndrome consisting of accommodative and convergence insufficiency. All but two had received extensive orthoptic therapy without benefit in the past. Near points of convergence and accommodation, fusional amplitudes and the AC/A ratio were determined and the data compared with those from a group with ordinary ...

Convergence Insufficiency and Vision Therapy

Pediatric Clinics of North America, 2014
There is no standard meaning of the term "vision therapy", and for this reason it is often a controversial topic between some members of the ophthalmic and optometric community. Most pediatric ophthalmologists avoid using the term because it is nonspecific.

Convergence Insufficiency

Optometry and Vision Science, 1984
A retrospective study of 110 subjects with convergence insufficiency has been completed. Their mean age was 19.9 years. There were 72 females and 38 males in the group. The clinical profiles of these subjects were examined before and after a standard orthoptic treatment regimen. Over the course of treatment, the near angle of deviation, the AC/A ratio,

Convergence Insufficiency With Normal Parameters

Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, 1983

Characteristics of Convergence Insufficiency

Optometry and Vision Science, 1988
Convergence insufficiency (CI) is a well-known syndrome of binocular visual dysfunction. In a review of 58 papers, considerable variation was noted in the criteria used to define the condition. Symptoms and decreased positive fusional vergences (both at the nearpoint) were the only criteria named in more than one-half of the studies.
