Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

Convergent validity of the Richmond Reversal Rating in relation to visual-spatial perception as measured by the SASP

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Occupational Therapy, 2018
Introduction: This study examined the convergent validity of the visual perceptual Richmond Reversal Rating (RRR) assessment, in relation to visual-spatial abilities of young school-aged children, using known-groups validity and convergent validity ...

Innovative Work Behaviour: Measurement and Validation [PDF]

open access: yes
Although both scientists and practitioners emphasize the importance of innovative work behavior (IWB) of individual employees for organizational success, the measurement of employees' IWB is still in evolution.

Universal Electronic‐Structure Relationship Governing Intrinsic Magnetic Properties in Permanent Magnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Permanent magnets derive their extraordinary strength from deep, universal electronic‐structure principles that control magnetization, anisotropy, and intrinsic performance. This work uncovers those governing rules, examines modern modeling and AI‐driven discovery methods, identifies critical bottlenecks, and reveals electronic fingerprints shared ...

Screening with young offenders with an intellectual disability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The research suggests that young offenders with an intellectual disability (ID) may not always be identified within youth justice services. This pilot study assessed some aspects of the validity of a screening tool, the Child and Adolescent Intellectual ...

High Entropy Wide‐Bandgap Borates with Broadband Luminescence and Large Nonlinear Optical properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐entropy rare‐earth borates exhibit excellent nonlinear optical and broadband luminescence properties arising from multi‐component doping, chemical disorder, increased configurational entropy, and increased lattice and electronic anharmonicity. This formulation enabled us to obtain a large, environmentally stable single crystal with 3X higher laser‐

Cauchy-perturbative matching and outer boundary conditions: computational studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We present results from a new technique which allows extraction of gravitational radiation information from a generic three-dimensional numerical relativity code and provides stable outer boundary conditions.
