Sample rate conversion for software radio

IEEE Communications Magazine, 2000
Software radio terminals must be able to process many various communications standards. These standards are generally based on different master clock rates and thus employ different bit/chip rates. The most obvious solution to cope with the diversity of master clock rates in one terminal is to provide a dedicated master clock for each standard of ...

A matrix store for data rate conversion

Proceedings of the IEE - Part B: Radio and Electronic Engineering, 1957
A description is given of a parallel-access ferrite-core store which forms part of a data-handling system. The storage capacity is 13750 binary digits. In any 10sec period, up to 625 words of 22 digits each can be written into the store at a random rate, and over the same period, the information in the 625 storage positions is read out sequentially and

Conversion tables for pressure and leak rates

Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A: Vacuum, Surfaces, and Films, 1987
Two new conversion tables are presented that relate pressure and leak rates. These tables are more accurate than other than previously publishe d conversion tables. The temperature dependence of the gas leak rate must be used to convert to the temperature independent mass/time units. (AIP)

Syllable production rate in conversational speech

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2008
Most acoustic analyses of speech are based on samples obtained from carefully constructed corpora that are read or recited by subjects in a laboratory setting. Recently, speech scientists have attempted to obtain speech samples that are representative of a more casual, conversational style than might be obtained in the laboratory.

Speech Rate and Pause in Conversational Interviews

2013
Having established methods for the analysis of speech rate and silent pause duration, discussed the statistical techniques, and somewhat problematized the use of reading passage speech for determining social variation in speech timing, we turn now to examine a large dataset of recorded talk from conversational, sociolinguistic interviews in order to ...

FIR Filters for Sampling Rate Conversion

2009
The role of filters in sampling-rate conversion process has been discussed in Chapters II and III. Filters are used to suppress aliasing in decimators and to remove images in interpolators. The overall performance of a decimator or of an interpolator mainly depends on the characteristics of antialiasing and antiimaging filters.
