Scalable State-Space Model of Voltage Source Converter for Low-Frequency Stability Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Low frequency instability phenomena in power electronic based power systems can originate both at converter and at power system level. At the converter level, the interaction between PLL, dc-link and ac voltage control in voltage source converters (VSCs)

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

A T‐type three‐level converter for wide‐range voltage application

open access: yesEngineering Reports, 2021
Fuel and solar cells are broadly used in Microgrids. However, their output varies widely when load and environment change extensively. Thus, DC‐DC converters are used for wide‐range voltage application.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Review of the Configuration and Transient Stability of Large-Scale Renewable Energy Generation Through Hybrid DC Transmission

open access: yesCES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems
Based on the complementary advantages of Line Commutated Converter (LCC) and Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) in power grid applications, there are two types of hybrid DC system topologies: one is the parallel connection of LCC converter stations and ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.
