Extrusion‐Based Additive Manufacturing of Advanced Ceramics: Strengthening Mechanisms and Process Optimization Review

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This review comprehensively evaluates extrusion‐based additive manufacturing for advanced ceramics, detailing feedstock options and key process parameters. By critically addressing defect mechanisms like porosity and cracking, the work highlights optimization strategies through machine learning and advanced postprocessing.

On the hadamard products of Schlicht functions and applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1985
We show that each of the schlicht classes of starlike, convex, close-to-convex and strongly starlike with respect to symmetric points is invariant under the Hadamard product with the class of convex functions.

Microstructure Modification of Additively Manufactured Mo–9Si–8B by Annealing and Its Effects on High‐Temperature Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Postbuild annealing systematically modifies the phase fractions and morphology of EB‐PBF processed Mo–9Si–8B. Quantitative microstructure–property correlations reveal how controlled phase evolution enhances high‐temperature compressive strength and creep resistance.

The Constrained 2-Maxian Problem on Cycles

open access: yesMathematics
This paper deals with p-maxian problem on cycles with an upper bound on the distances of all facilities. We consider the case of p=2 and show that, in the worst case, the optimal solution contains at least one vertex of the underlying cycle, which helps ...

Echinacea Purpurea For the Long-Term Prevention of Viral Respiratory Tract Infections During Covid-19 Pandemic: A Randomized, Open, Controlled, Exploratory Clinical Study

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2022
SARS-CoV-2 vaccination is effective in preventing severe Covid-19, but efficacy in reducing viral load and transmission wanes over time. In addition, the emergence of novel SARS-CoV-2 variants increases the threat of uncontrolled dissemination and ...

An All‐Textile, Mechano‐Capacitive Subtle Movement Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A robust all‐textile capacitive sensor is introduced for measuring subtle body movements without long‐term degradation. By separating mechanical deformation from electrical sensing elements, accuracy, responsiveness, and durability are improved. Simple fabrication methods are presented, electrode effects are analyzed, and performance is validated ...

A Note on Shapley's convex measure games [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
L. S. Shapley, in his paper 'Cores of Convex Games', introduces Convex Measure Games, those that are induced by a convex function on R, acting over a measure on the coalitions.

A New Globally Convergent Self-Scaling Vm Algorithm for Convex and Nonconvex Optimization [PDF]

open access: yesKirkuk Journal of Science, 2011
In unconstrained optimization, the original quasi-Newton condition where is the difference of the gradients at two successive iterations. Li and Fukushima proposed a modified BFGS methods based on a new Quasi –Newton equation where , where is a
