We investigate the problem of uniqueness of the best non-symmetrical $L_1$-approximant with a weight for continuous functions on metric compact set $Q$ with values in strictly convex partially ordered KB-space $X$ by subspaces of space $C(Q, X)$ of ...

Any law of group metric invariant is an inf-convolution
In this article, we bring a new light on the concept of the inf-convolution operation $\oplus$ and provides additional informations to the work started in \cite{Ba1} and \cite{Ba2}.

Compression‐Tension‐Asymmetry and Stiffness Nonlinearity of Collagen‐Matrigel Composite Hydrogels
Self‐assembled collagen hydrogel matrices are widely used in tissue engineering applications. These matrices stiffen and contract laterally under tension due to fiber alignment and soften and collapse under compression due to fiber buckling. It is demonstrated that filler materials, such as Matrigel, linearize the mechanical behavior of collagen ...

Metric combinatorics of convex polyhedra: cut loci and nonoverlapping unfoldings
This paper is a study of the interaction between the combinatorics of boundaries of convex polytopes in arbitrary dimension and their metric geometry.

Geometrical Designs in Volumetric Bioprinting to Study Cellular Behaviors in Engineered Constructs
Curvature and spatial confinement guide cell behavior in volumetrically printed 3D constructs. Endothelial cells align and spread along specific geometries, while metastatic osteosarcoma cells proliferate independently of structural cues. Label‐free holographic microscopy captures real‐time, long‐term cell–material interactions, highlighting Gel‐PEG's ...

A compact handheld GelSight probe reconstructs in vivo 3‐D skin topography with micron‐level precision using a custom elastic gel and a learning‐based surface normal to height map pipeline. The device quantifies wrinkle depth across various body locations and detects changes in wrinkle depth following moisturizer application.

Ti6Al4V‐Bioglass‐Copper Composites for Load‐Bearing Implants
We have designed and manufactured a novel Ti64‐based composite by adding 45S5 bioglass (BG) and copper (Cu). Adding BG on titanium improves wear resistance and biocompatibility, whereas Cu addition improves mechanical strength while providing inherent lifelong bacterial resistance.

Convexity and the Euclidean Metric of Space-Time [PDF]
We address the reasons why the “Wick-rotated”, positive-definite, space-time metric obeys the Pythagorean theorem. An answer is proposed based on the convexity and smoothness properties of the functional spaces purporting to provide the kinematic framework of approaches to quantum gravity.

This study exploits the plasticity of ASCs‐derived cartilage organoids which generate a perichondrial layer of MSCs when exposed to cyclic chondrogenic/proliferative cues. Using these organoids as building blocks, we develop (i) Phalange Shaped Tissue Engineered Cartilage (Pa‐TECs), recapitulating endochondral ossification suitable for the treatment of
