REWW‐ARM—Remote Wire‐Driven Mobile Robot: Design, Control, and Experimental Validation
The Remote Wire‐Driven robot “REWW‐ARM” demonstrates a new concept of remote actuation that separates electronics from harsh environments while retaining closed‐loop control. Combining tendon‐sheath mechanisms with decoupled joints, it achieves efficient power transmission and autonomous locomotion, manipulation, and underwater operation, suggesting ...

Risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning for control of stochastic linear systems
Abstract This paper presents a risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning (RL) control design for stochastic discrete‐time linear systems. Rather than using a safety certifier to myopically intervene with the RL controller, a risk‐informed safe controller is also learned besides the RL controller, and the RL and safe controllers are combined together ...

ABSTRACT This study examines the environmental, social and governance (ESG) scoring methodologies used by Bloomberg and S&P Global through the lens of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). It addresses a notable gap in the literature by identifying the underlying factors that shape ESG scores and providing practical insights for companies seeking to ...

Finding all vertices of a convex polyhedron
The paper describes an algorithm for finding all vertices of a convex polyhedron defined by a system of linear equations and by non-negativity conditions for variables. The algorithm is described using terminology of the theory of graphs and it seems to provide a computationally effective method.

ABSTRACT This paper develops a framework for designing output feedback controllers for constrained linear parameter‐varying systems that experience persistent disturbances. We specifically propose an incremental parameter‐varying output feedback control law to address control rate constraints, as well as state and control amplitude constraints.

On the section of a convex polyhedron
Let \(P\) be a convex polyhedron in \(\mathbb{R}^3\), and \(E\) be a plane cutting \(P\). The authors establish the sharp inequality \[ \text{perimeter} (P \cap E) < {2 \over 3} L(P), \] where \(L(P)\) denotes the sum of the edge-lengths of \(P\). To prove the result, they project the polyhedron \(P\) orthogonally into the plane \(E\) and compare the ...
