A Note on The Convexity of Chebyshev Sets
Perhaps one of the major unsolved problem in Approximation Theoryis: Whether or not every Chebyshev subset of a Hilbert space must be convex. Many partial answers to this problem are available in the literature. R.R. Phelps[Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 8 (1957)

Application of Sigmoid function in the space of univalent functions based on subordination [PDF]
In the present paper, we introduce a new subclass of normalized analytic and univalent functions in the open unit disk associated with Sigmoid function.

A multimaterial approach is introduced to improve upon auxetic structures by combining two different polymers into the same reentrant honeycomb structure via additive manufacturing. The deformation behavior as well as the resulting Poisson's ratio are thereby improved significantly.

Decomposability of Abstract and Path-Induced Convexities in Hypergraphs
An abstract convexity space on a connected hypergraph H with vertex set V (H) is a family C of subsets of V (H) (to be called the convex sets of H) such that: (i) C contains the empty set and V (H), (ii) C is closed under intersection, and (iii) every ...

Picosecond direct laser interference patterning (DLIP) enables precise microstructure fabrication on stainless steel. Using a multiscan approach, high‐aspect‐ratio patterns are achieved. Fluence influences structure growth and homogeneity, with smaller periods yielding better uniformity.

Preprocessing 2D data for fast convex hull computations.
This paper presents a method to reduce a set of n 2D points to a smaller set of s 2D points with the property that the convex hull on the smaller set is the same as the convex hull of the original bigger set.

This study explores the effects of pixel size and spacing when fabricating electroluminescent (EL) multipixel displays. COMSOL simulations identify the impact of pixel dimensions and spacing on electric field distribution and lighting efficiency. Flexible, high‐resolution EL pixel arrays are reverse offset printed, achieving a 96% reduction in pixel ...

Convex compact family of polynomials and its stability [PDF]
Let \(P\) be a set of real polynomials of degree \(n\). Set \(P\) can be identified with some subset \(P\) of \(\mathbb{R}^n\) consists of vectors of coefficients of \(P\).

A coordination polymer [Pb(tadt)]n prepared by a microwave‐assisted solvothermal method selectively reduces CO2 into formate under visible light with a high apparent quantum yield of ≈25% at 400 nm. It can function as a pre‐catalyst, along with conductive Ketjen Black, to form an active PbCO3/Pb3(CO3)2(OH)2 mixture that exhibits a high Faradaic ...

About One Class of Operators Inclusions
The operator inclusion 0 ∈ A(x)+N(x) is studied. The main results refer to the case, when A – a bounded operator of monotone type from a reflexive space into conjugate to it, N – a conevalued operator. No solution criterion of the viewed inclusion is set
