On Mathematical Descriptions of Uncertain Parameters in Engineering Structures
Civil engineering is one of the many fields of occurrences of uncertain parameters. The present paper in an attempt to present and describe the most common methods used for inclusions of uncertain parameters.

Adaptable Tile‐Based Pneumatic Origami through Structurally Coupled Localized Actuation
This article presents tile‐based pneumatic origami structures with rigid tiles and flexible fabric creases, achieving adaptable properties including morphing shape, selective multistability, and tunable stiffness. Independently pressurized folding bladders at each crease enable structurally coupled localized actuation of origami structures.

Topological classification of the hyperspaces of polyhedral convex sets in normed spaces [PDF]
We prove that, for a normed space $X$ of dimension $dim(X)ge2$ the space $PConv_H(X)$ of non-empty polyhedral convexsubsets of $X$ endowed with the Hausdorff metric ishomeomorphic to the topological sum ${0}oplus |X^*|imes(IRoplus (IRimesarIR_+)oplus ...

There is a significant need for biomaterials with well‐defined stability and bioactivity to support tissue regeneration. In this study, we developed a tunable microgel platform that enables the decoupling of stiffness from porosity, thereby promoting bone regeneration.

Decomposability of Abstract and Path-Induced Convexities in Hypergraphs
An abstract convexity space on a connected hypergraph H with vertex set V (H) is a family C of subsets of V (H) (to be called the convex sets of H) such that: (i) C contains the empty set and V (H), (ii) C is closed under intersection, and (iii) every ...

On supportless convex sets [PDF]
We give some general constructions of supportless convex subsets of normed spaces and pose a number of open questions.

A hybrid anode composed of Cl‐functionalized curved nanographene and graphite enables ultra‐fast charging and long cycle life through an engineered morphology and sequential Li+ insertion. It delivers 100 mAh g−1 at 5 C with 70% capacity retention after 1000 cycles and maintains stable performance over 2000 cycles in pouch cells, providing a practical ...

The faces of the unit ball of a finite-dimensional Banach space are automatically closed. The situation is different in the infinite-dimensional case. In fact, under this last condition, the closure of a face may not be a face.

Photonic Engineering Enables All‐Passive Upconversion Imaging with Low‐Intensity Near‐Infrared Light
A passive upconversion imaging system enables the observation of scenes illuminated by low‐intensity incoherent near‐infrared light from 750 to 930 nm, by converting it into the visible without the use of external power. The upconverter is enabled by triplet–triplet annihilation in a bulk heterojunction, with absorption enhanced by plasmonic resonators

(Convex) Level Sets Integration [PDF]
The authors investigate the problem of recovering a pseudoconvex function from a multi-valued map that generates the normal cones to the (lower) level set of the function. This ``(convex) level set integration'' is a generalization of the classical problem of recovering (integrating) a differentiable function from its gradient with a given value in ...
