Characteristics of ring probes for measuring pneumatically conveyed solids

Fifth World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation (IEEE Cat. No.04EX788), 2004
Solid particles will be charged when they are pneumatically conveyed in a pipe. The charged particles then cause the generation of electrostatic charges on the surface of a ring probe, which is a section of the transportation pipe and serves as a solid particle flow sensor.

Vibration Characteristics and Stability Analysis of Fluid-Conveying Pipe

International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics
The application of piezoelectric materials to fluid-conveying pipes enables both vibration control and self-powered sensing. This paper proposes a piezoelectric pipe model formed by combining a variable cross-section piezoelectric vibrator with a fluid-conveying pipe, and conducts a vibration study on it.

Effect of cohesion on pneumatic conveying characteristics of powders

1994
Various bench tests to assess cohesion are described. Several bench tests were performed to evaluate the significance of cohesion effects in determining a powder's suitability for pneumatic conveying. To assess the effect of cohesion, arch length was evaluated in a purpose built tester.

Size-dependent vibration characteristics of fluid-conveying microtubes

Journal of Fluids and Structures, 2010
Abstract In this paper, a new theoretical model is developed, based on the modified couple stress theory, for the vibration analysis of fluid-conveying microtubes by introducing one internal material length scale parameter. Using Hamilton's principle, the equations of motion of fluid-conveying microtubes are derived.
