Time Automorphisms on C*-Algebras

open access: yesMathematics, 2015
Applications of fractional time derivatives in physics and engineering require the existence of nontranslational time automorphisms on the appropriate algebra of observables.

Breaking Barriers in High‐Order Spectral Methods: The Intrinsic Matrix Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 5, 15 March 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper introduces a unified framework in Hilbert spaces for applying high‐order differential operators in bounded domains using Chebyshev, Legendre, and Fourier spectral methods. By exploiting the banded structure of differentiation matrices and embedding boundary conditions directly into the operator through a scaling law relating ...

Interpolation Sets for Convolution Measure Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1973
These are proved: (1) The union of two interpolation sets for a regular commutative convolution measure algebra is not necessarily an interpolation set. (2) There exists a regular commutative convolution measure algebra for which interpolation sets are not necessarily of spectral synthesis, while every singleton is a Ditkin set.

Review of Memristors for In‐Memory Computing and Spiking Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
Memristors uniquely enable energy‐efficient, brain‐inspired computing by acting as both memory and synaptic elements. This review highlights their physical mechanisms, integration in crossbar arrays, and role in spiking neural networks. Key challenges, including variability, relaxation, and stochastic switching, are discussed, alongside emerging ...

Polynomial convolutions in max-plus algebra

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2019
Recently, in a work that grew out of their exploration of interlacing polynomials, Marcus, Spielman and Srivastava and then Marcus studied certain combinatorial polynomial convolutions. These convolutions preserve real-rootedness and capture expectations of characteristic polynomials of unitarily invariant random matrices, thus providing a link to free

Uniform Gas Flow Distribution into Several Partial Flows under Consideration of Closable Outlets

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 98, Issue 3, Page 70-77, March 2026.
The uniform distribution of a gas flow into several partial flows poses a challenge in various technical fields. This study presents a static flow distributor design that ensures an equal distribution of an inlet gas flow regardless of the flow rate and the number of open outlets.

Some Intersections of the Weighted -Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
Let be a locally compact group an arbitrary family of the weight functions on and . The locally convex space as a subspace of is defined. Also, some sufficient conditions for that space to be a Banach space are provided.

Weighted Convolution Measure Algebras Characterized by Convolution Algebras

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2008
The weighted semigroup algebra Mb (S, w) is studied via its identification with Mb (S) together with a weighted algebra product *w so that (Mb (S, w), *) is isometrically isomorphic to (Mb (S), *w). This identification enables us to study the relation between regularity and amenability of Mb (S, w) and Mb (S), and improve some old results from discrete

Learning hydrocracking reaction dynamics via neural ODEs: A data‐driven, gradient‐interpretable lumped modelling framework

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 3, Page 1372-1386, March 2026.
This work demonstrates the application of neural ordinary differential equations (neural ODEs) for learning hydrocracking reaction kinetics directly from data, achieving robust predictions under noise and sparsity while preserving mechanistic interpretability through gradient‐based analysis of temperature‐ and concentration‐dependent reaction rates ...

Cyclic Cocycles on Twisted Convolution Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2012
We give a construction of cyclic cocycles on convolution algebras twisted by gerbes over discrete translation groupoids. For proper tale groupoids, Tu and Xu provide a map between the periodic cyclic cohomology of a gerbe-twisted convolution algebra and twisted cohomology groups which is similar to a construction of Mathai and Stevenson.
