Representations of $p$-convolution algebras on $L^q$-spaces [PDF]
For a nontrivial locally compact group $G$, and $p\in [1,\infty)$, consider the Banach algebras of $p$-pseudofunctions, $p$-pseudomeasures, $p$-convolvers, and the full group $L^p$-operator algebra.

Subuniformity of harmonic mean p$$ p $$‐values
Abstract We obtain several inequalities on the generalized means of dependent p$$ p $$‐values. In particular, the weighted harmonic mean of p$$ p $$‐values is strictly subuniform under several dependence assumptions of p$$ p $$‐values, including independence, negative upper orthant dependence, the class of extremal mixture copulas, and some Clayton ...

Generalized Convolution Behaviors and Topological Algebra [PDF]
The authors prove new results on one-dimensional generalized (convolution) behaviors, that were introduced by Schwartz as invariant varieties. These behaviors are defined as follows. Let \(\mathcal{E}\) be the signal space of smooth, complex-valued functions on \(\mathbb{R}\).

Fourier Mass Lower Bounds for Batchelor‐Regime Passive Scalars
ABSTRACT Batchelor predicted that a passive scalar ψν$\psi ^\nu$ with diffusivity ν$\nu$, advected by a smooth fluid velocity, should typically have Fourier mass distributed as |ψ̂ν|2(k)≈|k|−d$|\widehat{\psi }^\nu |^2(k) \approx |k|^{-d}$ for |k|≪ν−1/2$|k| \ll \nu ^{-1/2}$.

A Plancherel Theorem On a Noncommutative Hypergroup
Let G be a locally compact hypergroup and let K be a compact sub-hypergroup of G. (G, K) is a Gelfand pair if Mc(G//K), the algebra of measures with compact support on the double coset G//K, is commutative for the convolution.

This figure illustrates the optimal near‐wall treatment schemes (first‐layer height and wall function type) for solid–liquid two‐phase CFD of suspended sediment, which are correlated with particle size and flow velocity. ABSTRACT Near‐wall treatment (boundary‐layer meshing and wall functions) is a major uncertainty in solid–liquid two‐phase CFD of ...

ABSTRACT Porous gas bearings (PGBs) enable high‐speed, oil‐free operation in modern rotating machinery. This study develops a coupled thermo‐hydrodynamic (THD) model for a cylindrical porous gas bearing lubricated with four working fluids—air, R‐134a, helium and hydrogen.

ABSTRACT The well‐posedness results for mild solutions to the fractional neutral stochastic differential system with Rosenblatt process with Hurst index Ĥ∈12,1$$ \hat{H}\in \left(\frac{1}{2},1\right) $$ is discussed in this article. To demonstrate the results, the concept of bounded integral contractors is combined with the stochastic result and ...

Sequential Quantum Measurements and the Instrumental Group Algebra
Many of the most fundamental observables—position, momentum, phase point, and spin direction—cannot be measured by an instrument that obeys the orthogonal projection postulate.
