Unified quantum convolutional coding [PDF]
We outline a quantum convolutional coding technique for protecting a stream of classical bits and qubits. Our goal is to provide a framework for designing codes that approach the ``grandfather'' capacity of an entanglement-assisted quantum channel for sending classical and quantum information simultaneously.

Applications of Convolutional Codes to DNA Codes and Error-Correction [PDF]
Convolutional codes are error-correcting linear codes that utilize shift registers to encode. These codes have an arbitrary block size and they can incorporate both past and current information bits. DNA codes represent DNA sequences and are defined as sets of words comprised of the alphabet A, C, T, G satisfying certain mathematical bounds and ...

On isometries for convolutional codes
In this paper we will discuss isometries and strong isometries for convolutional codes. Isometries are weight-preserving module isomorphisms whereas strong isometries are, in addition, degree-preserving. Special cases of these maps are certain types of monomial transformations.

Abstract Background The use of deep learning‐based auto‐contouring algorithms in various treatment planning services is increasingly common. There is a notable deficit of commercially or publicly available models trained on large or diverse datasets containing high‐dose‐rate (HDR) brachytherapy treatment scans, leading to poor performance on images ...

Abstract Purpose To assess the predictive capability of CT radiomics features for early recurrence (ER) of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Methods Postoperative PDAC patients were retrospectively selected, all of whom had undergone preoperative CT imaging and surgery. Both patients with resectable or borderline‐resectable pancreatic cancer met

Twin neural network regression
We propose to reformulate a regression problem into predicting differences between target values. This allows for leveraging consistency conditions which can be used as uncertainty estimates and enable the production of an ensemble of predictions while training only a single neural network.

Design and Performance of Rate-compatible Non-Binary LDPC Convolutional Codes [PDF]
In this paper, we present a construction method of non-binary low-density parity-check (LDPC) convolutional codes. Our construction method is an extension of Felstroem and Zigangirov construction for non-binary LDPC convolutional codes. The rate-compatibility of the non-binary convolutional code is also discussed.

Convolutional codes for iterative decoding [PDF]
This paper gives an overview of three different classes of convolutional codes that are suitable for iterative decoding. They are characterized by the type of component codes that are used to construct the overall codes, which can be trivial parity-check constraints, block component codes, or convolutional component codes.
