Some Extended Results on the Design of Punctured Serially Concatenated Convolutional Codes

open access: yesJournal of Communications Software and Systems, 2006
The aim of this paper is twofold. On one hand, it presents the results of the search for good punctured systematicrecursive convolutional encoders suitable for application in serially concatenated convolutional codes (SCCCs) operating in two different ...

STACK DECODING OF LINEAR BLOCK CODES FOR DISCRETE MEMORYLESS CHANNEL USING TREE DIAGRAM [PDF]

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Communication Technology, 2012
The boundaries between block and convolutional codes have become diffused after recent advances in the understanding of the trellis structure of block codes and the tail-biting structure of some convolutional codes.

Diversity Patterns of Domestic Herbivore Viruses in China Reveal Transmission Dynamics with Disease Management Implications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study performs pan‐viromic profiling of 14,529 samples from 5,710 domestic herbivores across five Chinese provinces, establishing the DhCN‐Virome (1,085,360 viral metagenomes). It reveals species/sample‐specific viromic signatures and cross‐species transmission dynamics, aiding unified disease control.

SKOOTS: Skeleton‐Oriented Object Segmentation for Mitochondria in High‐Resolution Cochlear EM Datasets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Skeleton‐oriented object segmentation (SKOOTS) introduces a new strategy for 3D mitochondrial instance segmentation by predicting explicit skeletons rather than relying on boundary cues. This approach enables robust analysis of densely packed organelles in large FIB‐SEM datasets.

On Optimizing the PAPR of OFDM Signals With Coding, Companding, and MIMO

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
One main disadvantage of the multiple-input-multiple-output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) system is that the signals transmitted on each antenna may experience high peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR). We will present a new hybrid

Long‐Tea‐CLIP: An Expert‐Level Multimodal AI Framework for Fine‐Grained Green Tea Grading Across Five Sensory Dimensions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Long‐Tea‐CLIP (Contrastive Language‐Image Pre‐training) presents a multimodal AI framework that integrates visual, metabolomic, and sensory knowledge to grade green tea across appearance, soup color, aroma, taste, and infused leaf. By combining expert‐guided modeling with CLIP‐supervised learning, the system delivers fine‐grained quality evaluation and
