Treatment of benign pigmented lesions using a novel Dermal Cooling System

Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, 2018
Benign pigmented lesions are among the most common dermatologic diagnoses that patients seek treatments for. Treatment modalities range from cryotherapy to light and laser‐based technologies. These treatments have been shown to be effective, yet may lead to dyschromia or significant downtime.

Effects of solution pH value and mineralizer on formation and color property of holmium molybdate pigment via co-precipitation and sintering

Ceramics International, 2021
A novel functional ceramic or glass pigment of monoclinic holmium molybdate (Ho2MoO6) with ‘allochroic effect’ was synthesized via co-precipitation and subsequent low-temperature sintering with different mineralizers (i.e., lithium chloride, sodium ...

Optically Transparent Polymer Coating Embedded with IR Reflective Rare Earth Yellow Pigment: - Innovative Strategy for Cool Windows

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2019
The increasing atmospheric temperature due to global warming demands development of coatings for glass windows that permits the light but not the heat. It is documented that the absorption of infrared radiations [IR] in the solar spectrum is the cause of

Investigation of substituent effect on cool activity of perylene bisimide pigments

Journal of Coatings Technology and Research, 2018
In this paper, some derivatives of perylene bisimides are successfully synthesized and characterized using FTIR, HNMR and XRD techniques. In addition, their UV–Vis–NIR reflectance spectra are investigated. Synthesized pigments were planned to have high structural similarities as all of them were N,N′-diphenyl-3,4,9,10-perylenedicarboximide derivatives.

A solar reflecting material for radiative cooling applications: ZnS pigmented polyethylene

Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, 1992
Abstract Plastic foils containing nonabsorbing pigments can display a high reflectance of solar radiation combined with a high transmittance in the atmospheric window region in the thermal infrared. Such foils can be applied as selective covers enabling radiative cooling of an underlying material during the night and avoiding heating in direct ...

Synthesis of solar heat-reflective ZnTiO3 pigments with novel roof cooling effect

Ceramics International, 2019
Abstract TiO2 and ZnO based white paints are used worldwide to keep the buildings cool by reflecting solar heat flux. However, the cooling effect and lifetime of such coatings are limited by their band gap and fair reflectivity. Herein, scale-up synthesis of pure hexagonal ZnTiO3 pigment with an optical band gap of 3.75 eV is developed.

Eco-friendly Li3InB2O6 based red pigments for various IR blocking cool coating applications

Optical Materials, 2020
Abstract New red chromatic inorganic powder pigments were prepared by the introduction of Mn3+ in the host lattice of monoclinic Li3InB2O6. Substitution of Mn3+ ion in the indium site of host lattice changed the powder color from grey-white to (x = 0) red with (x = 0.08). The absorption spectra of the synthesized samples revealed that the development
