Ni-doped BaTi5O11: New brilliant yellow pigment with high NIR reflectance as solar reflective fillers

, 2020
New brilliant yellow pigments of Ni-doped BaTi5O11 were synthesized via solid-state method. Pure monoclinic BaTi5O11 powders with high crystallinity were obtained when the calcination was performed at 1000 °C for 2 h.

Synthesis and properties of infrared reflection of iron-chromium-based cool pigment

2017 IEEE 7th International Conference Nanomaterials: Application & Properties (NAP), 2017
Coatings containing the so-called cool pigments, which reflect infrared beams, besides providing greater resistance against weathering and longer lifetime, reflect a big portion of these surface-heating waves. Given the high price and great cost associated with extravagant use of cooling systems and to provide resistance against Heat island which leads

SrTiO3 as a new solar reflective pigment on the cooling property of PMMA-ceramic composites

Ceramics International, 2019
Polymer-ceramic hybridization is an important method for preparing functional materials. Strontium titanate (SrTiO3, ST), a typical perovskite ceramic, has been widely applied in the electronics industry and photocatalytic fields.

Optimization of optical properties of pigmented foils for radiative cooling applications: model calculations

SPIE Proceedings, 1991
Plastic foils containing nonabsorbing pigments can display a high reflectance of solar radiation combined with a high transmittance in the atmospheric window region in the thermal infrared. Such foils can be applied as selective covers enabling radiative cooling of an underlying material even in direct sunlight. Extensive calculations were performed of

Radiative cooling during the day: simulations and experiments on pigmented polyethylene cover foils

Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, 1995
Abstract Pigmented foils can promote radiative cooling of an underlying object if they reflect most of the solar light and transmit a part of the thermal radiation in the atmospheric window in the infrared. In this paper we describe the optimization of optical properties, and simulations of thermal performance during the day for pigmented ...
