MONETARY STABILITY VERSUS FINANCIAL STABILITY IN ADJUSTING THE REAL ECONOMY [PDF]

open access: yes
Nowadays, in the economic theory and practice, there's commonly held idea that the primary objective of monetary policy should be price stability. However, the possibility of achieving this goal depends on the development and stability of the financial ...

Self‐Assembled Luminescent Au(I)–Adamantylamine Coordination Polymer Needles With Thermoresponsive Optical Properties

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A self‐assembled hydrophobic and red phosphorescent Au(I) coordination polymer (CP) was synthesized under mild conditions. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (XRD) demonstrated linear Au(I) chains stabilized by aurophilic and hydrogen bonding interactions.

Bioelectrical activity of limb muscles during cold shivering of stimulation of the vestibular apparatus [PDF]

open access: yes
The effects of caloric and electric stimulation of the vestibular receptors on the EMG activity of limb muslces in anesthetized cats during cold induced shivering involved flexor muscles alone.

Ambident Reactivity in the Phenyl + NO Radical Recombination

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The recombination reaction of nitric oxide (NO) with radicals via its oxygen atom, rather than the more common nitrogen site, offers an intriguing pathway to the formation of oxynitrenes. The photochemical isomerization of nitroso compounds into their corresponding oxynitrenes may involve such a step.

Structural and Biological Insights Into Copper(I) Phosphane Complexes With Boron‐Phenylated Poly(3‐(CF3)Pyrazolyl)‐ and Poly(6‐(CF3)‐2‐pyridyl)‐Borates

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This study reports six new copper(I) complexes with unusual coordination and strong anticancer activity against a panel of human cancer cell lines derived from different solid tumors. The most active compounds outperform cisplatin, even in resistant cells, by inhibiting protein disulfide isomerase and inducing redox stress that triggers non‐apoptotic ...

Variable Temperature Studies of Two Calcium Uranates α‐Ca3UO6 and Ca2UO5

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The structures and thermal responses of the calcium uranates α‐Ca3UO6 and Ca2UO5 were investigated using in situ synchrotron x‐ray diffraction and neutron powder diffraction. Despite the very similar chemical compositions, the structural response of the two calcium uranates is shown to be complex and varied.

Alkene Hydrogenation by a Cationic, Nine‐Coordinate Molybdenum(VI) Pentahydride Catalyst

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
While late 3d metals dominate efforts to replace precious metals in homogeneous hydrogenation, molybdenum has remained largely ignored. This work reveals that a nine‐coordinate pentahydrido molybdenum complex can hydrogenate a broad range of alkenes efficiently, demonstrating that early‐metal polyhydrides can serve as genuine catalysts rather than mere

A High Energy Barrier DyIII2 Single‐Molecule Magnet Supported by a Bulky, Anionic N–O Bridging Ligand

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Complex [Dy2(hynad)2(dbm)4] was prepared by the employment of the anionic N–O‐based bridging and chelating N‐hydroxy‐1,8‐naphthalimide ligand, featuring a {Dy2(µ‐OR)2}4+ core and exhibiting zero‐field SMM behavior with a Ueff value of 171 K and double‐S‐shaped hysteresis loops, open up to 3.5 K.

Benzo[cd]azulenyl: A Structural Isomer of Phenalenyl—Synthesis and Properties of Its Tri‐tert‐butyl‐substituted Derivative and Formation of a Thermal‐ and Photoresponsive σ‐Dimer

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Benzo[cd]azulenyl, a nonalternant isomer of phenalenyl, is identified as a new member of the nonalternant hydrocarbon radical family. The tri‐tert‐butyl substituted derivative forms a stable σ‐dimer in the solid state. Upon exposure to external stimuli such as light and heat, the σ‐bond of the dimer dissociates, producing the monomeric radical.
