Molecular and Serological Detection of Coxiella burnetii in Small Ruminants in Northeastern Brazil. [PDF]

open access: yesVet Med Sci
• Serology indicates that one‐third of the sheep and goats had previously been infected with Coxiella burnetii. • qPCR analysis revealed the ongoing presence of C. burnetii in all evaluated flocks, each with a previous history of reproductive disorders. • These results indicate the need for preventive measures and control of C.

Unraveling the role of TP53 mutations in myeloproliferative neoplasms: Molecular mechanisms of leukemic transformation

open access: yesHemaSphere, Volume 10, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract TP53 mutations are found in over 50% of tumor types, including myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). MPNs are characterized by a chronic phase, which may progress to secondary acute myeloid leukemia (sAML). Here, we discuss the physiological functions of p53 in hematopoiesis and its deregulation in MPNs.

Streamflow Elasticity to Precipitation Distribution and Potential Evapotranspiration Across South America

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 2, February 2026.
Graphical abstract summarizing the modelling experiments used to quantify streamflow elasticity to changes and temporal redistribution of precipitation across South America, highlighting stronger effects of seasonal redistribution and larger responses in humid climates. ABSTRACT This study examines the sensitivity of mean, high and low streamflows (i.e.
