OsRALF26 Serves as an Endogenous Signal Recognised by XA21 to Promote Robust and Distal Resistance in Rice

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 6, Page 4159-4173, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Plant immune receptors detect both microbe‐derived and endogenous signals to activate defences. XA21, a rice immune receptor, confers strong race‐specific resistance to a subset of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) strains by recognising the microbial sulphated peptide RaxX.

When Vulnerability Is Mistaken for Justice: Just Readiness and the Political Grammars of Colorado's Coal Transition

open access: yesRural Sociology, Volume 91, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper examines how “community readiness” operates within just transition governance, arguing that readiness frameworks—though intended to support locally grounded, participatory change—can also unevenly shape recognition, participation, and repair.

World Englishes, applied linguistics, and air traffic control communication

open access: yesWorld Englishes, Volume 45, Issue 2, Page 292-308, June 2026.
Abstract Air traffic control (ATC) communication in international aviation is conducted in a variety often referred to as Aviation English. Based on an analysis of the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) defined by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), two specialized sub‐registers of Aviation English are identified in previous ...

Deterministic cooperating distributed grammar systems

Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 1997
Subclasses of grammar systems that can facilitate parser construction appear to be of interest. In this paper, some syntactical conditions considered for strict deterministic grammars are extended to cooperating distributed grammar systems, restricted to the terminal derivation mode.

Remarks on the Relationship Between Cooperating Distributed Grammar Systems and Lindenmayer Systems

Fundamenta Informaticae, 1998
In [2] it is shown that the family of languages generated by cooperating distributed (CD) grammar systems with context-free components in the derivation modes = k, ≥ k, for k ≥ 2, and the family of E0L languages are incomparable. Because one of the languages used in the proof of the incomparability does not work, we fill here the gap, using another ...

Cooperating/distributed grammar systems with hypothesis languages

Journal of Experimental & Theoretical Artificial Intelligence, 1991
Abstract Motivated by the blackboard model of artificial intelligence we introduce the concept of context-free cooperating/distributed grammar systems with hypothesis languages. We prove that these grammar systems have the same generative power as context-sensitive grammars.
