Molecular Paneling by Coordination: An M15L6 Hexahedral Molecular Capsule having Clefts for Reversible Guest Inclusion

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2001
Only one positional isomer is obtained from the assembly of 21 small components. A triangular molecular panel with five coordination sites is assembled upon complexation with [PdII (en)] (en=ethylenediamine) into a unique M15 L6 hexahedral coordination capsule (see X-ray structure). The capsule can encapsulate/exchange organic guests reversibly through

Building blocks for coordination polymers: self-assembled cleft-like and planar discrete metallo-macrocyclic complexes

Dalton Transactions, 2012
Discrete dinuclear metallo-macrocyclic complexes have been prepared from the flexible amide ligand N-6-[(3-pyridylmethylamino)carbonyl]pyridine-2-carboxylic acid (L1-CH(3)), and its more rigid analogue, N-6-[(3-pyridylamino)carbonyl]pyridine-2-carboxylic acid (L3-CH(3)).

Novel Three-Dimensional Coordinate System to Analyze Alveolar Molding Effects of Pre-Surgical Nasoalveolar Molding on Infants With Non-Syndromic Unilateral Cleft Lip and Palate

Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2020
Abstract The aim of this study is to establish a stable 3-dimensional (3D) coordinate system for investigating the alveolar molding effects of pre-surgical nasoalveolar molding (PNAM) on non-syndromic unilateral cleft lip and palate (UCLP) patients, basing on the Frankfort Horizontal (FH) plane.

2,6-Di(pyrimidin-4-yl)pyridine Ligands with Nitrogen-Containing Auxiliaries:  The Formation of Functionalized Molecular Clefts upon Metal Coordination

Inorganic Chemistry, 2003
A series of ligands (1-4) based on a 2,6-di(pyrimidin-4-yl)pyridine scaffold have been synthesized, and their abilities to form complexes with Zn(II) and Cu(II) have been determined using UV/vis spectroscopy in buffered aqueous solution (0.01 M N-[2-hydroxyethyl]piperazine-N'-[3-ethanesulfonic acid] (HEPES) at pH = 6.8).

Polar Cleft Structure at 09 MLT: Coordinated Satellite- and Ground-Based Observations

1989
Observations of electron and proton precipitation fluxes and Birkeland currents from spacecraft DMSP F7 and simultaneous ground-based optical measurements from Svalbard (~75° geom.lat.) of dayside aurorae (~ 09 MLT) are presented. In these cases, the auroral emissions within the field of view can be separated in different latitudinal zones with ...

Coordination Structure Changes of Linear Cobalt(II) Triazole Complexes Induced by Binding of Long-chained Alcohols: Adaptive Molecular Clefts

Chemistry Letters, 2008
Abstract Lipophilic, linear cobalt(II) triazole complex Co(1)3Cl2 in chloroform shows sol-to-gel transition upon addition of long-chained alcohols. Binding of alcohol molecules induces coordination structure changes (octahedral, Oh to tetrahedral, Td), which promotes aggregation of nanofibers and concomitant physical gelation.

Cobalt Coordination Induced Functionalized Molecular Clefts:  Isolation of {CoIII−ZnII} Heterometallic Complexes and Their Applications in Beckmann Rearrangement Reactions

Inorganic Chemistry, 2007
The present work shows that the Co3+ coordination to the deprotonated pyridine-amide ligands orients the noncoordinated or hanging pyridine rings, thus furnishing a cleft in which Zn2+ ions coordinate. The building block approach points out a strategy to incorporate a Lewis acidic metal center in the periphery. This strategy has been used to synthesize

Predetermined Chirality at Metal Centers of Various Coordination Geometries: A Chiral Cleft Ligand for Tetrahedral (T‐4), Square‐Planar (SP‐4), Trigonal‐Bipyramidal (TB‐5), Square‐Pyramidal (SPY‐5), and Octahedral (OC‐6) Complexes

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2000
Two tetradentate bispinene-bipyridine type ligands, each with six stereogenic carbon centers, were synthesized from (-)-alpha-pinene. Their ability to predetermine chiral configurations at metal centers was studied. The two diastereoisomers, L1 and L2, differ in their absolute configuration at the bridgehead position. These ligands form metal complexes

Synthesis and Coordination of a Cleft-Stabilized Triphosphazane Hydride:  C6H4N2[P(S)(NEt2)2]2PH

Inorganic Chemistry, 1996
Reaction of the molecular cleft-containing triphosphazane C6H4N2[P(S)(NEt2)2]2PCl (2) with LiBH4 yields the borane-coordinated triphosphazane hydride C6H4N2[P(S)(NEt2)2]2P(BH3)H (3).
